First Snow

It finally came, SNOW!?!? To my son it was great, but to me it means getting up even earlier to get to work and cold, very cold days. After playing all afternoon outside at Mimi's house Brady had to play in the snow with the puppies. Well, really only Chance. Tanner hates the snow and hates being outside. I swear he is part human that silly dog. Chance ran around while Brady tried to catch him. It was so funny. Evan and I stayed inside. I would go out take a few pics and then run back to the sliding glass door to watch. I don't do cold weather, unless it involves a pair of skis.

Cousins

Every Thanksgiving we eat a ton of food and then on Black Friday we burn it all off shopping! This time I got the pleasure of helping watch the cousins a few times. It was so much fun, well, except when all three decided to start crying. I thought I was at a daycare. Too funny!!! I couldn't resist, I had to take pictures of all of them together. Then, Brady had to get in the mix of all the fun. All the cousins together enjoying their playtime on the floor. Papa Tom was also there to help out!! Good ole Tom.

Baby Ella

My very first niece!!!! Finally a girl. She is so beautiful and sweet. It amazes me how tiny babies are when they are born. Of course Evan was a little bigger, but still amazing. Kendra did great! Jed was there to help a little (hahaha). Unfortunately Kendra and baby Ella got sick. Ella was put in the NI CU for ten days, but the family got thought it. I am so proud of Kendra and Jed. I don't know how I would have reacted. Such a tough situation. All the H1N1 junk is going around Bismarck and that is what happened to our family. Poor kids.
The proud uncle!!! Ryan and I were so excited to finally get to buy loud and annoying toys for our niece. Brady likes to say "Ella.....A,A,A" because dad Jed taught him that.
The very proud Papa Tom. Brady of course was being a stinker and didn't want to take a picture. Weird that two year old wanted to do his own thing instead.
The happy dads and grandpa. What a cute picture. Ella get ready, the lone lady in the mix. It will be so much fun watching these kids grow up together! Also, Ella will be joining the Harty boys at daycare in January!!! AWESOME!

Halloween

Sorry so late, but two kids have made life very busy!!!!! This year we had Rafeal the mighty teenage mutant ninja turtle and a sweet bouncy tiger.

It was a nice night for trick or treating. Brady had a blast running from house to house saying "Happy Halloween!" Trick or treat wasn't nice enough he thought.

Evan's Baptism

I have not posted anything new on my blog since our annual family visit to Papa's Pumpkin Patch. Two kids really keep you busy and TIRED! I loved reading my old friend from high school blog about how much she loves her second kid and that babies actually sleep. Well, I am feeling the total opposite!!! Evan is such a smiley baby, but boy that kid cannot sleep. I have never been so tired in all my life. I only wished this baby knew how good it feels to sleep. Enough complaining, the boys are doing great and it is very exciting to see Brady embrace his new brother. Brady is very kind to "Eban." Of course Evan is growing like a weed. He already weighs 12lbs. He will surpass his brother at any moment. They are total opposites and I love it, well, except the sleeping part.
Evan was baptised this fall and it was beautiful. I am always amazed on how wonderful people are when accepting a new member into the church family. They are so kind.

The whole gang was there to watch Evan get baptised. Mostly Jeanne's side of the family, but it was great to see the family again. We never get together enough. Just too busy!

Brady of course was life of the party! He was actually really good this day. I was pretty impressed.

Pumpkin Patch

This year our annual visit to the pumpkin patch was cold, but Brady had a blast. Evan of course slept through everything! All in all it was wonderful. Ryan's family came to visit and also joined in on the fall festivities. Brady picked out both his and Evan's pumpkins this year. The big brother was a huge help.
Also, Brady got to ride the ponies this year and had a blast. His pony was named "Sunshine." He made sure to hold on for dear life. My son loves to go on rides, but he is ever so serious when participating. No funny business until you are finished. Too much like his father.

I really enjoyed going this year because watching Brady understand the activities and participate was such a wonderful sight. I cannot wait till next fall to see both boys moving around those hay bails and run through the pumpkins. What fun!

First Outing

It was Evan's first outing. We took him to one of the local resturants. It was so much fun. After we finished eating Brady got to play at the mall playground and Evan slept. The day was perfect and I was able to finally see sunlight outside of my house.

Evan Michael Harty

We would like to welcome our newest member of the Harty family, Evan Michael Harty. He was born July 31st at 2:54pm, 8lbs 11oz and 21 1/2 inches long. He is our big man. My doctor predicted a 7lb 10oz baby because Brady was only 7lbs 3oz. He was just a little thing, but not this baby. Too funny. It was a little shorter than my first labor, but also very scary. I asked for meds towards the end of my labor and this time my epidural worked. When I delivered Brady my epidural didn't work so, I felt everything with my first delivery. With Evan not so much. I couldn't feel a thing and it was probably a good thing because poor big man got stuck. His shoulder got stuck and it got really scary. Immediately when he came out he was blue and the NICU lady came into the room. Ryan tells me that he wasn't breathing, but I couldn't see anything. My doctor walked me through some of the process that was occurring and it helped ease the pain a litttle. Finally, Evan began to cry and it was immediate relief. We were so worried, but Evan is great and he is in perfect health. Big brother is so excited to finally see baby Evan. Everything seems to be going well with Brady. Not too jealous. He is my big helper during the day. While Ryan is off to football practice, the three of us are at home. Brady has been AWESOME! I am so proud of him.

Pool Time

Ryan finished his school work and now is home during the month of July. So, we decided to visit the local pool a few times. First as a family and then with Grandma Jeanne's daycare. Both times Brady had a blast. It was so much fun!

Happy Birthday America

I love this time of year. Family, friends, parades, and lots of food. The main reason why I really enjoyed the food this year is because I have four weeks left with baby number two and now I feel the urge to eat lots of food through out the day. It might not be all at once, but small amounts of food all day long! During the fourth it is a Harty Family tradition to visit the Mandan parade and Art in the Park event. This was the first year that Brady actually fully understood the parade and how much candy you can get watching the parade. Thank goodness the weather was great all day long. At first I thought we might be heading for cover, but we lucked out. As the parade went on Brady decided to sit back and relax. 2 hours of a parade can be tough on a 2 year old, but he really did well. I was so proud of how well he behaved and just sat there and watched all the floats drive by. Again, as the day dragged on he got even more relaxed.

After finishing with the parade we walked thought he Art in the Park event and finished up with fireworks on the state capitol grounds. It was absolutely perfect. Brady took a very SHORT nap and kept going until 11pm. Crazy little boy. Overall, it was a great fourth of July.

Baby Once Again

I started pulling out Brady's old baby toys and clothes to get ready for this little one. Brady got a little upset when he couldn't fit into his old baby baseball shoes. I felt horrible. So, he was bound and determined to fit into some old baby item. TOO FUNNY!
This is really sad that my child almost fits perfect in this baby item. Well, when the kid only weights 23 lbs. It was definitely a kodak moment, I couldn't resist taking a pic of this funny event.

Fun at the Park

Since daycare was not available, we decided to go and play together at the park. Of course we had to swing first and then hit the slide. Brady loved the swing! It was so much fun watching Brady act like a big boy. He really is growing up so fast. I cannot believe how quickly Brady catches on and how much his little mind absorbs.

Pool Fun

While dad is away we will play! Brady, Aunt Kendra, and mom decided to visit the wave pool. It was awesome. A nice warm day and plenty of pool time. We had so much fun. At first Brady was a little hestitant, but eventually he got the hang of it. I can not believe how long summer has taken to get to Bismarck this year. It has been a weird year!!

Brady decided to sport his Mickey sunglasses and enjoy the nice weather. We had a blast!

When Brady got enough courage he walked around the pool a little on his own. It was very short, but at least he tried to walk a little on his own. All in all we had a great time.

Zoo Trip

This past weekend the Harty family decided to spend the afternoon at the Bismarck Zoo. Brady had a great time. We saw TONS of animals and it was perfect. I am currently 34 weeks along and after looking at the family picture, wow, am I huge! You never realize how big you are getting until you have some one take a pictures of you. Oh well, I am pregnant.

I had to put this adorable picture on the blog. It was the first time I have ever seen the moose this close and with two babies. Usually, they are nestled in the back. It was a little warm so, they were cooling off by the sprinkler. Then, they decided to give each other little smooches. Absolutely adorable!!

Of course there was a park inside the zoo and Brady had to try the slide out. By this time I am sitting down at the local bench watching and trying to keep cool. Grandma and dad were helping and guiding the little one up and down the slide. I really appreciate when the in-laws come into town because they can bend over and pick up when ever Brady needs. When I was pregnant with Brady I was more flexible and relaxed, this child has decided to stay really low and give more issues to deal with. Plus, I have a two year old to worry about instead of just napping when ever I choose. Life little joys.

Dads Rock

Happy Father's Day! They really do so much for our families and my husband does a fabulous job at home. He has so much patience and kindness when working with Brady. I am so proud to be married to this wonderful man and father. WE LOVE YOU!

Tomatoe Soup

This summer Ryan will be attending classes Monday-Thursday in Valley City, ND. So, daddy is gone four days out of the week. Brady and mommy get to spend tons of time together, which I really enjoy because soon there will be two kiddos in the Harty house. One night we had grilled cheese sandwitches and tomatoe soup (Mommy's favorite). Brady absolutely devored his tomatoe soup and created a little bit of a mess! Too funny, gotta love bleach.

Rib Fest

Rib Fest '09 was in town and Ryan really wanted to try out some of these fabulous ribs. This was the first time we ever attended this event, but it was really fun because they had a play area for kids that Brady was able to enjoy.

Dad had to join Brady on the slide and it was very funny watching dad climb up this inflatable. Of course, mom was not allowed to join in on the fun because of our next little one. Amazing enough it got warm. Lately, ND has had really icky weather. This year has been extremely tough when it comes to weather. So, to have a day get into the eights is really nice for us.

Carnival

The carnival came to town. We decided to go and enjoy all the fun. Amazing enough most of the rides Brady was allowed to go on, but mom or dad had to join him on these fun rides. Of course, some rides mom was not allowed to participate because of her current condition. I never would have guessed that Brady would love going on all these rides. He kinda of gets scared on rides, but not now. We thought that the first safe ride to try was the carosel and of course he loved it. So, mom and dad had to ride also. Then, we advanced to the car ride. This of course was a tight fit for mom and Brady, but we had a great time going around and around!!!

As you can watch in our video we really got crazy and rode the train. It was neat watching and participating with Brady on all these fun kiddie rides. All in all it was a great night and the family was able to enjoy Brady's first carnival experience.

Brady is Two!

June 9, 2009 Brady Ryan turned 2 years old. I cannot believe how old my son is now. As a family we celebrated his birthday in Jamestown with all of his daycare Friends. Unfortunately, my camera decided to stop working when the cake and presents were brought out. So, stay tuned for pictures from that excited "Pooh" day.

Birthday

Can you believe I am 27 years old, pregnant, and have one wonderful son! It amazes me every day what I have in my life. I am so thankful. I love every minute of my life. It may be crazy and stressful at times, but every day I pick up my son from daycare and he comes running up to me yelling "mommy, mommy, mommy" I am so grateful for what I have. This birthday was nothing special, but it was because I got to spend it with my two favorite boys. I was at soccer all day and I come back to the hotel with a bday gift and cookie. What a wonderful surprise! Well, to think that I am 27, pregnant, and have a family is perfect.

Fargo Trip

This soccer season we didn't make it to State, but I still had to attend. So, the family decided to join me in Fargo and enjoy the hotel accommodations. Brady swam for hours and Ryan loved every minute of it (joke). Ryan was wonderful this trip because he had to keep Brady occupied for days while mom watched tons of soccer. We did manage a trip to the local zoo. Brady really enjoyed seeing all the animals. It was a great experience for the entire family.

It was extremely funny to watch Brady, mom, and dad feed the animals. The best animal to feed was the HUGE cow! I was not about to put my hand any where near that cow, so the cow came to the fence and put his HUGE tongue out and I just sprinkled the food on his mouth. Brady got a HUGE laugh about the entire incident. Brady did manage to feed the goats. The two goats were so nice. We really had a great time.
Also, at the zoo we rode the carousel. Brady loved it, but he was a little hesitant. It was funny. He got on the horse right away, but still hesitant to enjoy the ride. It was really interesting. Overall, it was fun to watch and ride along with Brady.
